The Prestige de Bourgogne is made in France in the Burgundy region and more specifically in the Côte-d'Or department. It is a specialty of French gastronomy.
This cheese made from pasteurised cow`s milk has added cream and is made by the famous Delin creamery. It sets itself apart by looking like a cloud and with its thick bloomy rind. However, it is when this cheese is cut that we discover a rich and creamy paste that has the texture of room temperature butter.
FLAVOUR: The paste unveils a delectable crème fraiche odour and a tart and lactic flavour. Its flavour is light and fresh and the texture is soft, almost like a mousse.
HOW TO SAVOUR: Serve it plain with artisanal bread. Because cheeses are usually best paired with wines from the same region, pair this one with a Burgundy wine.
