From the farmer to the Canadian consumer, it is a succession of steps including specific know-how, requirements to meet and some coordination between producers, health authorities, logistic partners and customers.
This is the experience and expertise we have grown since 1979 on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean.
A long story driven by cheese
1979
Having launched their first company called Fromages Caron which was based on a collaboration with Quebec artisanal producers, Lucie Paulhus et Jean-Philippe Gosselin extended their offer and imported their first French cheeses.
Very active in supporting the right to further sell and consume raw milk cheeses in Canada in the 90’, their company grew with success and they sold it in 1997.
2001
Their passion aroused by an ever more curious and knowledgeable Canadian demand, they founded Les Dépendances du Manoir with the aim to be clearly identified as importer and distributor of European specialty cheeses.
2015
Both employees of the company, Lucie Besnard and Nicolas Lenoir acquired Les Dependances driven by the same passion for cheese and the desire to further import a large selection of high end products.
Since 2017, the company’s activities have increased further in the Western part of the country with an area manager based in Vancouver.
