Originally from Netherlands, this cheese made with raw milk is inspired by traditional Gouda.
The maturation process is perfectly mastered so that the desired taste can be developed. The paste is sprinkled with large pieces of truffles.
It reveals a smooth, rich, and medium firm paste with a cream-color. It is covered with a light transparent wax, like traditional goudas.
FLAVOR:
The Gouda has a hint of heated caramel, hazelnuts, and toasted bread flavor. The taste of the truffle has a garlic flavor and when mixed with this high-quality cheese, the result is remarkable.
HOW TO TASTE IT:
You can slice it for snacks, grate it to add to your favorite recipes. Melt it in fresh pasta in olive oil and served chopped arugula.
It is perfect on a platter and can be paired with a dark Belgian beer or with a glass of fresh Chardonnay.
