Brugge Countess; the Grande Dame in the assortment of Brugge cheeses according to its producer. Brugge Comtesse is produced from cow's milk, without adding colorings and matured for 7 months. Under its dark blue wax we discover a pale yellow reminiscent of butter, a slightly crumbly texture and a sweet smell.
FLAVOUR : A persistence on the palate which is reminiscent of a Dutch Gouda with hints of salted sugar or a Swiss Emmental with a slight taste of toasted hazelnut.
HOW TO ENJOY : Brugge Comtesse is equally suitable as an aperitif, on a platter or in a salad. It goes easily with figs or a fruit chutney accompanied by a beer.
