The San Pietro in beeswax is made in the Veneto region in Italy by the Perenzin family. This dairy has been making cheeses for 4 generations and has been open since 1933.
San Pietro in beeswax is an organic cheese aged for 12 months and made from pasteurized cow's milk. The beeswax on the surface of the cheese keeps humidity within the paste, giving it a unique silky texture. The rind is coated early in the aging process.
Beneath its hard yellow rind, you will discover a light yellow paste with pleasant aromas of honey and vanilla.
FLAVOR : The aromatic scents of beeswax and honey give sweetness to the spicy tone of the aged cheese.
HOW TO ENJOY : Perfect on a cheese platter with pears and apples.
Pairs well with Chenin Blanc or Port Wine.
