La Quesera (meaning The Cheesemaker in Spanish) is an exclusive brand from Les Dépendances, born from a collaboration with two carefully selected producers. This cheese is crafted in the heart of the prestigious La Mancha region in Spain, world-famous for its iconic Manchego.
Made from pasteurized sheep’s milk, rich and authentic, it stands out for its earthy notes and the natural silkiness of lanolin, resulting in a pure, distinctive white paste. The milk is sourced from local sheep and transformed using traditional, artisanal methods.
Aged for a minimum of four months, the cheese develops a creamy, melt-in-the-mouth texture that unfolds delicately on the palate. It is then coated with honey and sprinkled with oregano, releasing aromas that are both herbaceous, warm, and subtly sweet.
Flavor: Delicate, characteristic notes of sheep’s milk harmonize perfectly with the warm, aromatic accents of oregano. The honey adds a gentle sweetness with floral undertones, while the oregano brings peppery and woody notes, creating a refined and well-balanced flavor experience.
How to Enjoy: Ideal on a cheese board alongside other varieties from the range, this cheese is also perfect cut into cubes for snacking or incorporated into your favorite Spanish recipes. Its beautiful paste and colors make it a standout for presentation.
It pairs wonderfully with olives and is best enjoyed with a Spanish Rioja wine, red or white.
